An amazing little brush for my niche application
I needed a way to clean electrical contacts that had oxidized. Soaking them in vinegar, baking soda, Coke, and other fluids didn't get the contacts clean, so I used this brush and now the contacts look and work like that are brand new. I didn't know about this brush until someone brought it up, but it now has a permanent spot in my toolbox.

New to using scratch brushes—revived my external camera flash.
The problem with turning 50 is all the awesome stuff you bought in your thirties is suddenly 10 to 20 years old. I came across an old Nikon external flash a while back and was not too surprised to find the battery compartment covered in corrosion and the flash seemingly dead. After several unsuccessful attempts at using solvents to clean off the battery leads I looked to the internet for advice and discovered scratch brushes. This was my first time using a scratch brush. This brush seems to be well made and after 5 minutes of using the brush on my flash I was able to pop in a new pair of batteries and the flash powered up and is back in action.

Works great
After buying "scratch brushes" that didn't "scratch" or do much of anything, I figured I'd take a chance on this one. It works great. I primarily use it to clean up connections on PC boards before soldering, but it is handy for many other situations where you need to remove light corrosion or oxidation. Don't use it on plated contacts, or at least be very careful, it can go right through the plating if you get carried away!

Good scratch brush but be careful.
Well made scratch brush. Like any other scratch brush which uses fiberglass bristles, it is strongly recommended that you wear gloves, a dust mask and periodically vacuum your work surface to remove microscopic glass shards and reduce the risk of silicosis. But it works well, if you take the precautions listed above.
