I have a bad habit of biting and picking at my nails. It's embarrassing and I wanted to stop. I got this kit and so far, no mail biting or picking! My nails are strong and much longer than before! I do better when I can't see how long they are. The gel cures under UV light so as soon as the top coat is done, I can go do things like scrubbing the dishes or gardening or cooking or giving the dog a bath and my nails stay pretty. I like the variety of colors. I chose to paint each nail tester with 3 coats, covering 1/3 each time so I could see what 1, 2 and 3 coats looks like and cured between coats. I took a sharpie and wrote the color code on the reverse. I ordered the HEMA free top coat and foundation coat set (white bottles) separately. They're for sensitive nails and I love them!Key points:- Use a thin, even coat for base, color and top coats!- Cure between coats- All coats are tacky except for top coat after curing. THIS IS NORMAL. DO NOT WIPE.- Use SPF on hands, fingers, toes (yes it works for pedis too) and wrists. I use a lotion style SPF 50 and wait 30 mins minimum before starting. The first time I didn't use SPF and my fingers, cuticles and tips of my fingers had a burning/stinging sensation when using the light. I watch a show on Netflix or Disney to pass the time.- I also bought a gel remover and liquid latex separately on Amazon (not beetles) because I hate the smell of acetone/nail polish remover. Gel remover works great but don't get any on your skin, it burns like acid. I'm not allergic to latex so this really helps my polish look clean.- This kit comes with a cuticle softener (great value and very helpful!) And a cuticle oil (I do better with lotion.) I had to wait 48 hours between my first cuticle removal and my first paint session.- The nails MUST be clean and dry. After applying SPF and waiting for it to soak in, take a rubbing alcohol wipe or a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol and wipe each nail off. Then take one of the pink little squares and wipe off any dirt.- Shape your nails BEFORE you paint them.I have used the included nail art items however the only ones that stay on are the pearls for me.- Clean off any excess nail polish/top or bottom coats BEFORE you cure! I use the metal cuticle tool included to scrape away any excess.- The UV lamp can get warm.- If you use the nail art items, those metal tweezers (included) are your best friend!- Yes, the bottles are small but they will last you if you use thin even layers.- The odor is still present but very low considering the alternative.100% would recommend and would buy as a gift! It's a great starter kit for beginners!!

Perfect for beginners. Just used for first time, not perfect but learning. Tips thin layers and increase cure times. They are a little thick but my fault, even if first layer is not full coverage stay with thin layers and build. Growing my nails and wanted gel protection. For a fraction of the cost of a salon I can do my own, although not perfect, great for my goal. Just get it, small bottles but enough to try as you learn and they offer so many other kits to add to your collection of polishes!

I’ve been using regular gel nail polish for a while and wanted to get a polish that would immediately elevate a basic set. This polish delivers exactly that, I’m not a huge fan of designs but I love things that shimmer and sparkle. This polish is easy to use and doesn’t at all budge on my soft gel x tips.

Iv been using this set since the beginning of February,as a total of today iv painted my nails 26 times to try to teach myself with this set . My honest review of this set is not all the colors work the same some are easier to apply than others . I found using barely any polish and super thin with 2 coats makes it perfect.that being said I don’t like the formula of the shiny polishes that much they are harder to use and they burn under a lamp for some reason.the magnets for the cats eye works but I’d recommend a stronger one. This set it good for a beginner overall and I like the brush and the files.i love the variety of colors. I don’t think they last for me personally more than 2 weeks without peeling or chips . The peel away base does work well . Or if you want to practice painting your nails and peel it off just don’t use the base and they pop right off in warm water . The matte top coat and gel coats are nice too. I would recommend this to someone starting out but if you want quality of quantity I’d pick another brand personally . For the price this has been good so far and it’s worth the money because everything works so far. Ps if they aren’t staying on or feel kinda Weird you need a different light iv change mine twice since starting.

I was skeptical of this kit due to all of the reviews about contact dermatitis. I am a beginner and I've done 2 sets so far with no issue. I am still very vigilant of any signs of an allergic reaction and I cure for a lot more than the recommended time. I eventually plan to buy a stronger lamp.The kit includes so many products! I did end up buying a few more items like an electric drill, uv gloves and I'll be buying a flash lamp soon (I didn't know it's necessary to have the get x tips to stay before a full cure). I watched so many video tutorials and I am so happy with how my 2nd set came out. I did these almost a week ago and they are on very securely. I used the overlay method and that has worked great for me. I think this is a great kit for beginners. I also noticed that a lot of the people in the reviews with negative reactions applied the gel to their natural nail. I will only be using these polishes with tips.

long lasting colors. only need one coat of polish so its very pigmented. beginner friendly even for young teens. no chemical smell in my opinion. no chipping and no peeling even after 3 weeks of wear and great fro everyday use even with was hands or just every day work. the bottles don't even spill out if accidentally knocked over. I work in a warehouse so these last a while. I will be buying more from this company

Absolutely love the variety of colors! I didn't even realize it came with so much extra stuff when I chose to buy this. I just wanted more options of polish and got even more than I expected.
