The polymer in the locknuts which were supposed to go on the bolts that hold the two pieces of each strut together had hardened to the point where it was flat impossible to get them on the bolts. [Trust me on this. I even tried putting the bolts' heads in a vise and trying to twist the nuts on with a wrench and pipe cheater. All it did was strip the threads on the bolts]. As a result, the whole assembly was a ramshackle, sloppy mess. Had to go to the hardware and get different nuts and bolts. Luckily, I am only using this to turn my mountain bike into a stationary bike by jacking up the back wheel. I would NOT have used this on a bike actually meant for outdoor riding.
