Decent little unit
This works as advertised, which isn't always a given. It feels fairly sturdy for how small it is and the mic monitor feature is handy (and not present on lots of competing devices).

Was Skeptical But
I figured, for the price, I'd give it a shot. I've ordered similar products for electronics and they either didn't work or broke early on. This one actually works. Does what it says it will do for recording woth an external mic, although I haven't tried the headset jack yet and really don't have a need to. My purpose was specifically for the external mic. On playback of videos, the sound quality is definitely better using my Rode mic so this was a win! So far, so good.

My review is for iPhone 15 Pro Max users exclusively
The pros:It works as expected!Incredibly small and lightweight.The cons:Designed for exclusive connection directly into the phone (it’s really small but also really wide) so if you’re using the USB-C port to run the Apple Digital AV adapter or similar for HDMI output, you will need a USB-C extender cable and a USB-C to USB-A adapter* in order to plug the HDMI cable in. No more than 1ft. extension should be fine depending on your needs, but good luck finding one that short.*This device will NOT work on the Digital AV adapter’s USB-C port. However I got it to work by using a USB-C to USB-A adapter.This test was completed using the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Røde Stereo VideoMic Pro.If these specific things pertain to you, rest assured that all of your video apps SHOULD recognize your microphone as long as you read all of the above.It’s been a real headache figuring this all out but hey I did it so you all don’t have to. Hope it helps!

Very small adapter with excellent sound
This adapter is quite small and therefore does not put much strain on the USB-C port of the phone. The sound is excellent.
