100x better than Dentemp
I love this product but there are two minor downsides that I will write at the very end. I've been going through major dental work for 9 months now, getting implants, veneers, the whole nine yards on all of my upper and lower teeth. In that process you have to wear temps until your final veneers / implants are ready. Sometimes you have to do a second round of temps.Well, I had tons of problems with the front temps breaking off at different times. I wasn't biting down on food, it was all about the chewing, no matter how careful I was. If the dentist puts them in too firmly, they take literally hours to drill out, so they warn you not to bite off food with them; just chew with your back teeth. Despite being very careful, I had many break off and Dentemp DID NOT do the job! It shouldn't even be sold, in my opinion. It's one thing to have a temp break off at home, but I'd be at work or out to dinner and it would pop out. It was extremely aggravating and stressful. They never, ever lasted with that stuff. I don't know why mastermedi didn't come up on my first search for "strong dental cement" back in September but it came up last week and what a world of difference!! Don't even waste your time with anything else unless you only need it to last a short time and you don't expect to eat during that time. I didn't have that luxury. My dentist is in my home state of NJ but I work in NY so getting to her was not an immediate option. And nevermind when it happened on a Saturday and they were already closed until Monday!I used mastermedi on two caps, one on each side of my mouth so chewing affected both of them. They didn't budge! It costs way more than Dentemp but you also get a lot of product. Which actually brings me to my first negative comment...1) mastermedi, why so much product? You can cut the amount in half, sell it for half the price, and people would still have product left over. I'm sure the price is off-putting for some people. I HIGHLY doubt there are that many people going through the nightmare I went through and would need it as much as I did. And even then, I probably only needed half the amount, despite all of the broken temps I was dealing with before I could make it to the dentist's office for a professional re-glue. Because the product is so good, you only need one application! I might not even go to my dentist for a professional re-glue. I think these will actually last until my scheduled appointment at the end of the week.2) In my opinion, the instructions should have the user discard the first drop of the liquid. For me, it came out gloppy and wasn't a very large drop. Never using it before, I didn't know it wasn't right but my first attempt on the two broken temps didn't take and it occurred to me that the liquid might not have been a correct measurement. Sure enough, the second try was a much bigger and more liquid-y drop and my temps haven't budged through dinner and breakfast. (People reading this, please note that you still should not take a bite of food using the temps. Even the professionally glued temps can't withstand that. It's usually basic chewing that breaks them so biting into something certainly won't hold up.)

BEST DIY product for those loose crowns!!!
I have purchased this product two times; the first three years ago and then just recently. I am totally sold on its value and performance. It is the same compound the dentist uses to glue in a crown. I have used this product to re-glue two crowns in my lower jaw. It is a bit difficult to use, and the time factor for mixing and inserting is less than sixty-seconds: 45 seconds for mixing and then immediate insertion. You have to practice insertion dry repeatedly so you can do it by feel. It would help if someone else mixed it for you, and you apply the product and insert the tooth. It hardens in ten minutes and you can eat after an hour, though I let it go longer than that. It is packaged very well in a hard plastic container with a snap lock lid. Contents are a bottle of liquid and a bottle of powder, a spoon, a mixing tool, special paper on which to mix the product, and instructions. If you need to replace your crown and are in a remote location, on vacation, or just rying to save money, My crown stayed in a year before a rough peach seed caused it to come loose, hence the second purchase. I really like the upgraded package, and highly recommend this product. For only $40 it is a nice "insurance policy" to have in your medicine cabinet and/or travel bag. This really works!
So I had a temporary crown while I was waiting for my permanent one to be completed. My temporary one fell off and I was in a panic because it was on my smile line! So I got on Amazon in a panic looking for a temporary tooth bonding to put my tooth back on. I had a big wedding to attend and it was right before it. I found this product and figured I would try it! It was so easy to use and It held my temporary in place with no problem! I never knew they had such a thing but let me tell you it was a lifesaver..and so easy to use..It held my tooth in place for 2 weeks until my Dr. Visit!

Works well in a pinch!
For a quick temporary fix, it’s a great product. I have a habit of biting my nails and am prone to chipping my filling on my front tooth. Of course 98% of the time it happens on a Friday. This time it was on a holiday weekend so I knew I couldn’t get into the dentist until mid week. Didn’t want to pay $165 just to be seen by emergency dentist (don’t know what full fix would have cost). Also didn’t want to spend the whole weekend with a chipped front tooth so started seeing if there were any quick fixes that would work. Ordered this in a pinch. Is it perfect? No. But was my first time using it so I’m sure next time will be better. Is it good enough to get me through until I can get to a dentist with? YES! I know another chip is inevitable so I’m happy to have this on hand!

A game-changer
A dental bridge I had for over 10 years came loose, and I couldn’t afford to have it professionally replaced. Every time I went to the dentist, they seemed more interested in making a new one rather than simply reattaching it. I tried a few over-the-counter dental cements, but they barely held for more than a day or two. Then I discovered this Zinc Oxide Eugenol Cement, and it was a game-changer. Compared to other brands, this one really stood out. While it does eventually come loose, it holds much longer—usually about a month or so, which is a big improvement. One thing to note: the product doesn’t come with clear mixing instructions. I highly recommend searching YouTube for a video on “Mixing Zinc Phosphate Cement” to get the technique right. That made all the difference for me.
