I bought a civic without the ignition. I Had to buy a new ignition and key with transponder chip. I chose this key. Called up a local locksmith and he paired the key to my car. It starts up now.

Did the job it was intended for. Had it cut so I could manually unlock my car. Not ment for starting.

The key did not work. I paid $50 to have it cut and found out later the key was defective because I couldn't register the car on the vehicle immobilizer.

This is a refurbished key with no rubber inside with the chip. Impossible to cut.
