Great Bike Rack but....
This is a good quality bike rack. Solid build and easy to install. Be aware however that if your car has a spoiler or has a trunk lid that sort of goes up like a spoiler you may have issues with the bike rack bars touch and scratching the trunk lid. I have an Infiniti Q50 (no spoiler) but the trunk lid does have a slight incline. I had to use something soft but firm on the top of the bumper to get the bike rack bars not to touch the trunk lid. Other than that, once secured to the car this bike rack is sturdy and will not sway.

Unexpected quality for the price
This Overdrive Sport 3-Bike Trunk Mounted Bicycle Carrier Rack replaces a borrowed Rhodes rack with similar features and is used on a Honda FIT. From the extra heavy duty frame tubing to the metal clasps on the straps, this rack is of higher quality than the $40 price tag suggested ($5.00 coupon used). Once mounted and snugged down it provides a rock solid carrier for your bikes and the metal clasps grip tightly.Rubber tie downs for the bike frame are provided, but they require considerable effort to stretch and engage on the pegs provided. However; they seem strong and hold the bike frame securely. Each frame slot may be rotated to more exactly hold or conform to slopes and angles of the bike.I was not familiar with the Overdrive Sport 3-Bike Trunk Mounted Bicycle Carrier Rack until it popped into a search for a rack and the coupon made me take an in depth look. Even so, I was still surprised that the quality for the price was so high.

updated.... see below....failed after 2 uses
The vendor shipped me a new rack and I hope to have better luck with it.I used this rack twice and the teeth in the adjustable arm got messed up and it collapsed. Thankfully, I had an ability to put the bikes in the car. Likely this was a user error, but I have tried to get support to replace the parts and have not had any success.

Lack of directions in setting it up
I give this a one star based on the directions alone... I haven't even gotten it installed on my car yet so I can't review on anything other than the fact that the directions DO NOT help in setting this up! Beyond aggravated right now. π π π π ** update ** after figuring out how to install this on my own since the directions were useless, I have since had the ability to use it a couple times and it is quite sturdy and does what it is intended to do. So I changed my stars to 3 stars. Would have been 4 stars but .... Directions

Solid bike rack
I ultimately returned this bike rack because the part that holds the bike frrame was super stiff and my bike wouldn't fit without forcing it in and scratching up my bike. HOWEVER, the rack is solid, well made and seems super easy to put on the car.

Works great, but will scratch vehicle so....
be careful when connecting straps. It holds two large framed bikes without the front wheels and a smaller framed bike, but that is it. It is sturdy, reliable and will keep your bike mounted perfectly until you get to your destination.

Some exclusions apply
While the product literature indicates that it fits most models, it would be helpful to suppoy additional information. The Chevy Traverse that it was purchased for has a plastic headliner. Although it is fastened to a metal piece below it, I am a little concerned that the clips will damage the plastic piece. Additional info would be helpful so that I dont worry about it every time it is used.
