I was fortunated to buy this GJT Doorbell on Deal of the Day. Previously, I had been researching for days on Amazon looking for a camera doorbell since I constantly buy from Amazon and don't want my packages to get taken. Many camera doorbells don't come with batteries or micro sd card.Here is what you get in the box:* camera doorbell: elegant, sturdy, and quality build* hardware: the back plate, wires if you want to hardwire it, and batteries, screws,* chime plug in with different melodies* micro sd card 8gb (mine was already inside the doorbell)Installation:It was easy to set up (a little challenging for me since my wall is concrete)Wifi Set up:follow the instructions on the booklet- it amazingly was fast to set up and up on my wifi in no time.Features: the app that you get for this doorbell is AMAZING. No joke. It has many premuim features and it was painless to set up. It's free and you can use to app to store your capture video or pictures online (free) or you can use the 8gb card. Ring charges you a monthly fee to use their cloud. The speaker is loud and clear. I had my daughter go outside and push the button which rang to my phone and we had a conversation. Now I don't have to open the door and can simply tell the solar companies hat I am not interested. You can also monitor the camera live from away from home.I will update this in the coming months.

After my initial review I got an email that the person in charge of these orders would be fired if a bad review was posted. I opted to write the review and eat the loss.I must caution everyone again about buying this product. The rechargeable batteries last about a month. When people think you are not home the battery is out. It works as a doorbell but nothing else. A very poorly designed product. Do not purchase this doorbell it does not work as intended.Camera works great but does not record when doorbell is pressed. Customer service told me that this is a problem with all doorbells on the market. They are working on a software upgrade but have no idea when it will be ready.Repeated false triggers. At least I kept getting notifications that the doorbell recorded something but nothing was ever recorded. After about 10 notifications a day I with noting recorded I had to shut it off because it just kept going off over and over.I recommend waiting until the next firmware upgrade is complete before buying the product.--------------------Note that the vendor offers to refund your item if you change your review. Wow...what a product. This video doorbell protects me and my family from unknown people and from potential robbery because I can see image of people at the door from inside the house. The picture is very clear. When people ring the bell, I also get a notification via my phone and I can see who the person is remotely. I can talk with them too. It’s really a unique product. Thank god! Nowadays, I feel much safer when I am at home alone. Thank you Amazon for providing me such a unique product with affordable price.

i bought this product for my mom because someone had recently stole her packages , i personally have a ring doorbell and this is very comparibale except its ch aper which is the reason i bought this . I like thr picture quality and the night vision works great .

I first gave this a 3 star rating. It was because I couldn't get it to set-up. I tried 7 or 8 times to set it up before it finally worked. It is set-up now and working great. Picture quality is a lot better than I thought it would be. I will buy 1 for my back door now.

I bought this thing for my mom. It has given us nothing but problems.The video has a constant 2 sec lag.The motion detection is 10 sec slower than what it is set to. Even after adjusting the setting to capture motion after 7 secs, it still takes 17-20 secs to do so.The night vision is unable to make out any faces unless they're right up in the cameras face.The battery is totally inadequate, only lasting 1.5 days per charge. This is probably the issues that drives my mom mad the most.The phone app is riddled with issues. I kept getting random calls at 1:30 at night but nothing is out there. And what's stranger is my moms phone didn't get anything.Setting the device to use the SD card does not work for me.Scrolling back to look at past events is a fun game of lining up a thin bar with the red slice. 99% of the time is blows past the footage I was trying to look at.It has a hard time connecting to the wifi so I ended up having to by a wifi extender.Overall app design is very clunky and felt like it was slapped together by some pretty inexperienced and/or uncaring devs.I am wishing I went with another product...

The device is fine. The app is horrid and everyone is making the same complaint. I tried emailing the developer and no response. Please do not purchase this camera, you will not be able to.connect to the app but once, if you are lucky. It sucks. The YouTube videos try to make it look so easy to pair but you sit there and wait after the message “pairing information has been received” then nothing but setup failed once it reaches 100%. Not at all happy with this product.
