This is a really nice set of bits. Served my needs well. I like the way they drill and tap the threads and kicks out the metal shavings like a regular drill bit. In metal, I do suggest that you go slow, preferably by hand and use cutting oil. All in all, they do work very well.

Bought this to avoid the hassle of breaking off a self-threading screw in a Ford Boxlink installation. The M8 size sheared off on the second hole. I was using a short handled 3/8 drive ratchet, on a hole engineered for a M8 screw and not apparently over-torquing the system. Fracture surface was obviously brittle, but not too surprising with hardened tool steel. This was a preformed insert designed to take a self tapping screw. Very disappointing the tap failed. Now I've got to dig out the easy-out; I hate those things! Started as a 10 minute job. Now I'll be lucky to get back to square one in an hour. I would only buy this set for taping plastic.
