Colgate Sensitive Pro Relief Mouthwash (400ml)

There are varying reasons for tooth sensitivity, and the two main systems - potassium nitrate and arginine - work completely differently to lessen or prevent tooth nerve pain.. Neither system will help everyone. I use both kinds of toothpaste - KNO3 in the evening and arginine in the morning - with the understanding that they somewhat counteract one another, but using both gives me relief against heat/cold, vibration, pressure, and age-exposed roots. Pro-Relief Mouthwash adds an extra layer of protection to my morning brushing.This product has a measuring device WITHIN the cap so that you don't use more than necessary - fill the inner measuring device, not the whole cap. The viscosity is greater than usual mouthwashes and might take a little getting used to. The flavor is ok, not as flavorful as US products but more flavorful than some other European and especially Asian products. If you have tongue, gum, and cheek tissue sensitivity to peppermint-type flavorings, this will add a slight bit to that sensitivity. If you are accustomed to using a mouthwash after brushing, make this that mouthwash. Using Pro-Relief Mouthwash before brushing with a non-arginine toothpaste or using a "breath freshener" mouthwash after the Pro-Relief Mouthwash largely wastes your purchase.

The argin in this mouthwash does help squelch gumline tooth sensitivity, but it doesn't completely eliminate that sensitivity. For me it knocks the pain down by maybe a third, pretty significant. My sensitivity had gotten to the point where commonly available (in the US) sensitivity toothpastes weren't doing much. I use this along with the Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Pro-Argin toothpaste, before and after brushing. This is shipped from across the Pond (as is that toothpaste), but even so it arrived pretty quickly, maybe 2 weeks via free standard shipping (not Prime)..

Worked well enough I suppose, but I really didn't notice a difference with the tooth that causes me so much trouble. Certainly not enough to shell out a proverbial crap-ton of money to get an amount of fluid so impossibly small when compared to ACT mouthwash, which actually seems to work better when paired with the toothpaste that compliments this mouthwash. I didn't dislike it, but I think that ACT just works better and is worth more.

I honestly cannot say if this helped my tooth sensitivity, because I couldn't stand to keep using it. The taste is like a mixture of cough syrup and cheap breath mints. I used it for three days and couldn't see any benefit, so I quit torturing myself. It also felt like it made my teeth sticky in a weird way.

I tried it once. It caused a burning sensation in my stomach. If you have sensitive stomach do not use this product because some of mouthwash gets into your body even if you don't swallow it.

This stuff works! I had a sensitive tooth and went to the dentist to find out it was a receding gum line and not a cavity (always make sure it isn't a tooth that needs a filling, otherwise it could need a root canal or lose the tooth altogether if going untreated for too long.) I changed my toothbrush to soft bristles (the extra money in the special brush is worth it!) and switch to sensadine toothpaste. Rinse morning and night with this wash and hold it in your mouth. The crystals in the solution will block the receptors in the exposed dentin of the tooth and surely take the sensitivity away. With the soft bristle brush, brush in circles lightly and not side to side. I also made sure I didn't drink acidic beverages (coffee,tea,soda,lemondaide,citrus juice) but when I did I brushed right afterwards. Don't spit this out on concrete or your driveway as it doesn't evaporate like most liquids and will leave a stain! It's potent for sure.I wish I didn't have to import this from the UK but for some crazy reason it isn't available in the US! Buy two like I did and you won't be sorry!

Mine has a label in English and Greek.Decided to give this a try, and it seems to be effective. It does have a very slightly "thick" not-watery mouthfeel; there isn't a particularly strong taste or odor. Using it doesn't bother me at all.Note that Tom's of Maine has just released "Rapid Relief Sensitive Natural Toothpaste" which also contains Arginine; I couldn't find it in stores yet and had to purchase on their website, and the order took quite a while to be filled.

I purchased this product for sensitivity but it does a great job with moisturizing my dry mouth also. It does not sting and has a great taste and I know it will take a while to see how much it helps with sensitivity but I also use the Colgate Pro toothpaste with the same technology and that has already helped a lot. I like to use different toothpastes to avoid mouth irritation issues so sometimes the toothpaste I use does not contain an ingredient for sensitivity and the use of this product means I am never going without protection for this problem Too bad you cannot purchase in the USA but I am very happy that I can get it on Amazon for a great price and quick delivery. This is just my opinion on the product-others may hate the taste and the sort of thick consistency of the rinse but I really love how it works.

The sensitive product range really helps with sensitive teeth. I also use the toothpaste so cannot tell the sole effect of the mouthwash.It is a bit unusually viscous but very mild.The bottle volume is less than competitors' products (ie it is more expensive when comparing prices)

This product was recommended by my dentist, as I have high tooth sensitivity. It has helped to improve my sensitivity and I use this product every day. The only problem is not many places stock this mouth wash and I have had to use Amazon to purchase this product. This is the best tasting month wash and it really helps sensitivity

This is a minty tasting mouthwash and leaves a fresh taste.

I have found that this mouthwash is actually about the best I have used. It does help reduce the sensitivity I suffer but generally also left my mouth feeling cleaner and fresher. The only draw back was with initial use, the mouthwash has an unusual consistency which was initially disconcerting but I must confess I've grown to miss it.Bought on special offer from Amazon at £2, while I like it, I don't think I'd pay full price for it.
