Wanted a chalkboard but didnt want one of the big bulky ones and I happened to run into these and gave them a try and I absolutely love them I totally do recommend them(just dont forget buy the markers)!

Bough with liquid chalk markers. Some boards said liquid chalk markers would stain, not write smoothly, or not come off entirely. I did not have any problems using liquid chalk markers on these boards. A little water and they wiped off. The instructions that came with it said to use a little liquid cleaner wipe, like a Clorox wipe, to clean the board. These met every expectation. Used for my daughter's senior pictures - would buy again.

Does just what I intended it to do. Received two as promised and they both were in good condition and packed very well with bubble wrap. Two different shapes make for a nice variety and I would definitely purchase again.

Got these for my kids' first day of school. Smooth surface and wipes off cleanly.

Fun way to keep lists and leave notes. We have all seen these kinds of chalkboards in different business advertising specials and other things. I have always been somewhat jealous of them because people get really fancy with writing and art work. This set of two chalkboards have so many uses I am not even sure where you start. You get two double sided boards in this set. A rectangle shaped one with scalloped edges and a more oval type shaped one also with the same finishing on the edges. They are easy to have with the burlap rope attached to the board which also gives it a cute little rustic look that can easily be dressed up or down. The boards are nice and durable and easy to wipe clean and do not leave residue of color behind. You can use chalk markers or regular chalk sticks. The only thing stopping you is your imagination. There are so many different uses for them as you can use them in the kitchen to jot down grocery lists or leave notes for other people in the house, the laundry room especially to remind kids where they should be putting their cloths or even to leave directions on how to use the laundry equipment. By far my favorite is to use them during parties. These days tablescapes are really important and of course add a beautiful touch to your decor. I use it to write out my menu on what I am serving, to give allergy alerts or during the holidays will use it in my home bar to show what special drinks I am preparing for the party. The uses for these boards is really endless and they are of a good sturdy quality so they will last the test of time.

Update*A little late to update, but after my initial review the vendor contacted me and sent me a brand new set for free because my came damaged!! Thank you!My original review : Unfortunately I will be returning these. One of the chalkboard came damaged which was not visible through the babble wrap. They actually seem pretty sturdy otherwise and thicker than I thought they would be. I will probably reorder them, hopefully it will come intact.

Love these double sided message boards. Lightweight and durable.I use these on my massage room door and door to the building. I can change the message with a flip of the sign or just erase anytime.
