Works well
Works well. You will need to connect the power cable and audio cable into it and connect it (plug it) into your computer. You also may need to adjust the screen resolution on your computer so video can fit into your big screen tv. Have not fully tested it but have had no issues up to now.

Overall good adapter
Almost perfect for me, but on boot up, would not display bios details nor way to get into bios. Once in windows all was good. I found i needed a vga to displayport instead of an hdmi connection for it to work on my monitor. It wants 1920x1080 @60hz to get perfect screen fill. Anything other than 60hz and you may get borders around screen. Make sure to set at 60hz in windows adapter settings. Runs pretty cool temp wise. I would have kept if not for the startup issue with my specific samsung monitor. Hope this helps.

A great cable and a nice addition to my arsenal of computer cables.
I had doubts whether this cable would work with my video capture card, but alas I was proved wrong! Once I hooked up the VGA cable to the back of the tower and plugged the USB cable into the 3.0 jack on the back of the tower, then the HDMI cable into the HDMI input on the capture card and the USB of the capture card into the 3.0 jack on the laptop, it was smooth sailing from there and I saw the welcome screen from the tower in OBS. Great success and one I am keeping! Wonderfully made cables and great connections. Definitely served my purpose. Didn't use the audio cable as I had a mixer running through the tower anyway so that works just fine. Picture is a little small and sometimes lags, but that is ok with me for now.If you are looking to hook your 10 year old VGA computer to HDMI whether it's a TV, monitor, or a video capture card like me, the VGA to HDMI converter works well, just remember to plug the USB power cord into the back of the VGA computer and you're set to go! I am typing this on the VGA computer now. Thanks Onten for the great cable and Amazon for offering it. You guys are grand!

Caused a glitch in main monitor
I used this unit to interface a second monitor (TV) that had no VGA port. It worked to convert VGA signal to HDMI but caused my main monitor (plugged into a different port) to flicker and glitch. It also triggered a sound, like plugging in a device, every 20 seconds or so. The syndrome may be limited to my specific PC. This unit would probably be fine if it's the only thing plugged in.
