I used to have one very similar to this, and it was a lot better. This one just has one sensor underneath the overhang, and it detects something in proximity and (attempts to) then dispenses soap. Most of the time, I have to put my hand under, hear the motor run with nothing coming out, pull my hand away, then put it back under, hear the motor run, and some soap finally comes out. Sometimes it takes three tries. This is even after not using it for, say, just an hour.Additionally, it doesn't detect pans or plates or similar things near the sensor. It will detect your hand and a sponge, but nothing solid, it seems. Which means if I'm trying to get some soap on a pan to soak it, I have to put my finger over the sensor, but not over the spout, and let it dispense onto the pan I hold below.The previous dispenser, which looked very similar to this one, had a top sensor and a bottom sensor. It would dispense when anything (even a plate or pan) was put inbetween the two sensors. It also worked on the first try unless it had been sitting idle over night or for many hours.

This soap dispenser is stylish and very easy to use. All you need are 4 AAA batteries and you're set. Simple instructions to adjust the amount of soap that comes out. I LOVE not having to get the counter wet from pushing down on my previous soap dispenser. The bottom is plastic and will not leave marks on your granite. My previous dispenser had a black foam on the bottom, which made my counter top look darker in that area. However, after using this soap dispenser for only one month, it stopped working. First, it just started letting out very small amounts of soap. I changed the batteries and cleaned it in case it was clogged. It worked a little longer and then stopped altogether. I would not recommend this product.

Its nice that you can turn it off, so you don't waste soap, as it is very sensitive. It works ok. But, there are times where there is no soap coming out. Mostly, its a few drops at the time. Perhaps that is enough! I miss not having the see through soap container, so I can see if it is getting empty.

This is excellent and exactly what I was looking for, hands free soap dispenser for kitchen. I love this!!

Since I bought it for dishwashing liquid I would like to have a longer or thicker stream adjustment. But it is a great product for hand soap. Used this about 60 days and it has completely quit working. Works just long enough to get past the return date and quits. I would like to have a refund if at all possible.

VERY disappointed!!! I have to put my hand under at least 3 times before anything comes out! And when it does, it's like water! I even thought it was the type of soap I got, so tried a more expensive one, but it does the same! Would NOT recommend to anyone!!

Bought this to use with my garage sink. Very convenient to use when my hands have oil or other crud on them by not having to touch a pump. Just wave your hand underneath and it dispenses the soap with ease. It has 5 level volume contro that lets you adjust the amount of soap you wish to dispense. I just leave it sitting next to the faucet. Very happy with this purchase all around

Works great.Once you go automatic, you can't go back. Talk about first world problems, but not having to push down the soap dispenser with you dirty hand makes life so easy. This thing squirts out the soap so fast and it doesn't drip at all.
