Huge bang for your buck!
I'm giving this 5 stars because I'm rating the camera since that's what I bought. However, the software (zsanycam) to connect to the camera is a bit unstable. When camera is set to 4k, the app crashes constantly. When camera is set to less than 4k resolution, the app works well and is stable. Just something to think about if you plan to shoot in 4k and use the app with a cell phone. The app is not required to use the camera itself. You can always transfer images and video directly from the Camera to a pc with a cable or a memory card reader. The app is the issue, not the camera. Tried on both iphone 6 plus and Samsung galaxy S6. Same results (app crashing while using in 4k resolution). Camera image quality is superb. All functions tested and amazing. I don't have a 4k tv so using in HD 1080p is perfect for my use. Plus you get tons more space to record on the memory card. My unit came with a 32 GB kingston micro SD card. I separately purchased two 64 gb SanDisk memory cards and the 64 gb cards could not be read by this unit. I also have a 32 gb SanDisk memory card handy and tried that and it couldn't be recognized by the camera either. I went and bought a kingston 64 gb card to try and it works perfectly. If you by this camera, just be sure to buy Kingston memory cards. Haven't tested any other brand cards. Those are my only cons about this camera. Here are the Pro's:Well constructed camera (not talking about the waterproof case yet )No cheap plastic feel.Does every function described.Boots up very quickly. (1 second boot up compared to some competitors on Amazon that take upto 10 seconds to boot up) keep in mind, those reviews I've read could've had a 90% filled memory card which could delay boot up. I filled my 64 gb card to 40 gb and boot up was still same @ 1 sec. Major plus.Waterproof case is well constructed and sealed extremely tight. Overall, excellent buy!

Finally, one that is actually an upgrade... great little camera
I've had a SJCAM SJ4000 for a few years now and I don't use these little things that often but thought maybe I should upgrade a bit (which I often do). I am quite happy with the SJ4000 for what it is and have had a hard time finding an inexpensive upgrade that has the quality video that one does.I bought a couple others that seemed to have good reviews but the actual video from them was not up to par, nevermind 4k. Reviews of cameras are hard to trust because lots of people really have nothing much to compare them to and so many people are viewing on tiny screens now which cannot show detail like a big screen. I have a 22", 27" and 50" 3DHDTV that I view/edit on. I mostly use these for video, not stills so much.I've been a photographer/videographer since the 70's and have a slew of cameras and a busy youtube channel.I'm not sure the quality of the 1080 videos from this are better than the SJ4000 but I think at least equal. The 4k is also good even though it's shot at 24p so movement might appear a little jerky. I generally only use 4K if I think I may want to save a still from the video or crop it. I was tempted to give it 4 1/2 stars but only cause I don't like the battery door or battery life but all these types of cameras seem to have the same weakness. **See updates below. Now, even if the video is no better, it's very good and this camera has some great features that most of these don't. It even came with a 32GB card which was a surprise to me.1. It actually has stabilization, and it works pretty well. With new firmware, even in 4k.2. The app was easy to set up and have only tested it for a minute but seems OK.3. This has a remote which many don't4. You can change the view mode (this is great) and choose from how wide of an angle you want 170, 140, 110 or 70 degree views. Hardly any of these offer that option. It also has time-lapse, slow motion and motion detection which some others have.I have not yet tested night mode, burst mode for stills and some other features... there are quite a few features. I will try to update this as I find more time for the camera and I will post some video samples on my youtube channel but Amazon won't allow me to post a link here so just search youtube. I hesitate to post any media here because Amazon downsizes it and re-encodes it so it's hard to trust. With the stabilization and optional view modes I might find I am using this more than I had used the SJ4000 just cause it's easy to carry and use and does so well.Audio on these is typically terrible. This one is a little better than the SJ4000 but still slightly weak (to be expected, most action videos do not need the ambient sound). With the case on it's very weak, almost useless, but that should be expected.First use of the battery suggests that I will have to change/charge them often... maybe after 60 min. of recording, but that also is typical and they are cheap. I got 3 of them with an external charger for about $17.00 (VVHOOY) and the batteries are a tight fit but I think OK.**See updates below.UPDATE: I have since upgraded the firmware and now see improvements in the stabilization when shooting 4k as well as some other improvement of an already great product. No camera can do everything but this one is pretty versatile.Update note, the camera now includes higher capacity batteries so the main weakness should be improved. Also, customer service from this company is excellent... they are very responsive and seem to really care about their products.Overall I am pretty impressed, check youtube for "Ocean City" footage, or other test clips.

So far this camera is pretty good. It came with a ton of attachments ...
I purchased this camera as my first mini-action camera. Hoping to use it on the dashboard of my truck, mounted on bike handle bars and any other possible ways. So far this camera is pretty good. It came with a ton of attachments and has really good daytime recording quality. Here are a couple of things I have found in the first couple of weeks after purchasing it.Pros:- Great video during the day.- The SD card that comes with it on UHD will record about 2 hours and 40 minutes.- Lots of attachmentsCons:- Batteries SUCK. It comes with 2 batteries but they barely last 30 minutes each and take a long time to charge- No battery charger so you have to charge the batteries in the camera separately.- The attachment with the sticky pads stick great to surfaces but not to the attachment so it is annoying to have to always push the attachments together with the sticky pads to keep them stuck. (hope this makes sense)- Recording in low light or at night is grainy. I even tried the "night mode" and it was not any better. All in all it was a great purchase for the price but I am going to have to look into upgrading the batteries and possibly getting a suction cup mount instead of using the sticky pads.

Pay for what you get?
Ok, so I didn't want to fork out for a GoPro, did some research came up on top. I want to say I enjoy it but the battery life is about 15 minutes, though sometimes if you power it down and back on again it lasts a little longer. The remote has also now stopped matching since I upgraded the firmware. Maybe it's one of those where you may get a good one, you may get a bad one and I've got a bad one. I've sent a message to SooCoo, see what they say.Edit: Soocoo were quick to respond and have provided an update to the firmware - August 2017, which keeps the remote working. The stabilisation is very good and I'm impressed with the quality of the footage taken, my previous camera of similar cost used to lose quality I believe due to compression when things were fast moving, I cannot see that on this camera. I have yet to verify the battery life with the new firmware though I can work with what it gives me, I'm not into extensive recordings these days.

Great device very happy
Lovely little camera. Only tested it briefly will update my review later if needed. Comes with 32gb kingston card which works fine. 2 batteries 1050mah, a wifi remote control and everything else mentioned on the sellers list. Enough clips and bits to get you started. Sony 12mp sensor and a good chipset that gets great reviews everywhere. Operationally easy to use and pickup. The waterproof case is easy to clip on and off. No issues so far happy with the purchase.Chose this over other similar spec clones like Apem*n - Fitf*rt and others because it comes with far more including the SD card. And the support is supposed to be better. Also I was not asked to provide a good review, and I paid full price for this camera. Something the leading action cam seller on Amazon cannot say. And frankly is underhanded tactics Ak@so! Surprised amazon UK allows bribery on reviews. This Soocoo is a far far better product than those mentioned in testing. Will say there is a longer lasting battery given with the amazon.com sellers C30r but you cant have everything I suppose. Removing a star from the review because of that. But ultimately a great action cam for the money.Note you will have to update the firmware using a usb cable and laptop on first arrival. This improves the battery life and wifi connection.

Overall pretty great, just the odd downside to be expected for being cheaper than the top brands
(limited experience with action cams) image seems rather good for the price, I would say on par with older GoProshowever I would like a recording indication on the top / front as when it's mounted to my helmet I cant see if it's recording without tilting it forward and turning the screen on and I can't trust the button to be accurate as I often use it to take pictures while videoing and i have to press it a few times to make sure it registers at least onethe batteries seem to get around an hour of video so would reccomend getting upgraded batteries as i might, however you do get two of them so it makes up for it, overall it's better than i expected from use so far.

The camera itself is good producing clear images
The camera itself is good producing clear images. As in previous reviews the battery life is poor and I will be purchasing higher capacity batteries.Where I have a real problem is with the remote control unit, it has to be right next to, almost on top of the camera to work. Which is pretty useless.Buy the camera, but don't bother with the remote control.
