I found they were surprisingly tough a very good fit, I dragged brambles out of hedging with no problems and NO THORNS. I ordered the maroon colour which did stain my hands a bit but after a couple of hand washes it can off. Otherwise excellent will buy another pair but the lighter colour.

I bought these as I had a very overgrown pyracantha hedge to tackle. Some people have said that whilst the arms on these gloves are thick - which they are - the hands part are thinner. This is true, but I found that as I was watching my hands during pruning I was able to keep them out of the way of the prickles and my arms, which I wasn't consciously watching, were well protected. When it came to pushing the cut branches into the shredder I found that the gloves were big enough for me to wear some snug leather gardening gloves inside the pruning gloves and I didn't get injured at all. I bought a size small and my hand size is an average 7.5.

Very impressed. Tried them out as soon as I received them. Flexible and easy to wear and work in. Would recommend. Obviously too soon to assess their durability, but have high hopes that they will last a very long time!

Very high quality hardwearing yet comfortable gloves, this is the second pair I have owned and wouldn’t go without in my garden.

For any amateur gardener with a garden full of demon weeds, these gloves are perfect! My purchase was a result of being painfully stung by some tall weeds which looked harmless enough ... initially. But these gloves protect up to the elbows. Just what I needed and the quality is beautiful, I feel like a posh gardener, pruning a beautiful garden of a country house filled with flowers and fruit trees instead of overgrown weeds. HA! HA!. Definitely would recommend.

These are fabulous gloves and I am getting another pair for a Christmas gift. Four stars because they are too small from the wrist to the elbow, but this won't be the case for everyone.

A really good fit and the leather is soft on the hands. The cuff reaches just below the elbow joint for me and was very comfortable to wear.

arrived promptly, very pleased with the gloves and sizing ok, I ordered small, they are very soft and comfortable and you can work with them unlike other bulky heavy duty gloves. My daughter tried them and was impressed so ordering another pair for her same size, so far no prickles and they go right up to the elbow giving good protection
