Very Nice Mattress Cover
I was very pleased with this mattress cover. It's made well enough and with the stretchy polyester satin sides and elastic bottom trim, will fit even the deepest mattress. I've read the other reviews about it not being a quality product, but don't understand how they could give such a bad review for a reasonably priced and decently made product. Here are actual the care instructions from the tag: Machine wash Warm/gentle cycle with like colors. Use only non-clorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry on low. Remove promptly. Do not dry clean. Made in China. The top is indeed 100 percent 370 count nice soft durable cotton. The padding, backing and sides are polyester. Before ordering this, I shopped everywhere for a reasonably priced cotton topped mattress pad, that wasn't junk -- and believe me, this level of quality and features easily goes for two or three times as much at Bed Bath Beyond, Macys, Kohls, etc. I'm so impressed with it, I ordered another one. Based on other reviews, I'll probably just hang it outside on the line to dry!

mattress cover/pad
This arrived in a nice plastic bag and was even better quality than I thought it was going to be. It looks and feels more expensive than some I have looked at in the stores. It makes the bed more comfortable but my husband says it makes him too hot at night! I'm fine tho. I will not be drying this in the dryer after washing it though as I do not want it to shrink. It fits nice as it is and the elastic is great with plenty of give and extra material. I would recommend this item for sure!!!!

A good value
This is a nice pad for the money. It's very similar to the pad I'm replacing, which cost twice as much five years ago.The top fabric is heavy and tightly woven, and there's plenty of fluffy spun polyester for padding underneath. The sides are made of good quality stretchy fabric that I anticipate will hold up well. The pad is sized perfectly and can accommodate my thick pillowtop mattress without squishing the edges. The only reason I'm not giving the pad five stars is because the craftsmanship is less than great. Stitching is wavy and really crooked, and one of the seams is sewn funky. Looks funny but should be perfectly serviceable.I haven't washed the pad yet, but I'll update this review when I do.5/5/2009Well, the pad has been washed now, and it's still looking pretty good. I had to repair the funky seam, as it started unraveling. As much as I like the pad (especially the quality materials), I can't give it more than 4 stars. I would buy it again, anyways.5/31/2010The pad has been washed numerous times and is still looking good. It even survived an intensive chlorine-bleach session after the cat peed on it. The stretchy material is a little softer now and the filling isn't quite as fluffy as it used to be, but that's perfectly understandable considering the use (and abuse) the pad has been through. No tears in the material, no bunching, no pilling, no melting -- I'm still giving it a thumbs up.5/28/2013After four years of daily use and countless washings, the pad has finally met its demise. It was accidentally dried in a hot dryer, which melted the padding and caused it to start coming off in shreds. But that really was our fault, as there never was a problem when the pad was tumbled-dried on low heat.I think I'll order a new one.12/1/2017A few years ago, our first mattress pad was destroyed by a hot dryer. Oops. Now we’re extra-careful to use low heat when drying the pad.I liked the original pad well enough that I decided to replace it with an identical one. I’m glad that I did. It’s still going strong, 4.5 years later.

Buying our second set
We bought our first set of these mattress pads four years ago, based on positive reviews. After four years and three months of washing usually on warm (sometimes hot) with Borax and drying on medium (low is too low to get things dry in our dryer) there are two small tears on each pad. These look like the beginning of the end, not something reparable.Due to dustmite allergies we change sheets weekly and had two of these in order to have one in reserve. Considering that we gave them slightly rougher treatment than the care instructions indicated I'm pretty happy with how they have held up.The pad covers the mattress well and is a good thickness. The sides fit generously, just be careful pulling on them. It's easy to stick a fingernail through them or pull too hard on one spot. If you're careful, though, they can last the life of the pad.Due to some reviewers saying their pad melted in the dryer I was careful how I dried mine. I made sure it was right side out in the dryer since that side is cotton. I don't have a way to know if that helped but mine did not melt!

Comfy and soft
I just bought this item to go with an Ozark Trail air bed that I just bought as well, queen size, and it fits the airbed perfectly, it is sooo soft and comfy. My husband and I slept on the air bed last night to try it out and it felt just like a mattress. The pad really helps the airbed feel like a mattress because of the polyester filling. I love that it doesn't cause overheating or sweating. It is really soft, it covers the entire airbed and it looks just plain fancy! It is definitely worth the price.

not as soft as advertized
I purchased this to make my bed more comfortable. When the product arrived, it was not as puffy as I had hoped it to be, It came in a small bag, that wasn't even vacuumed, which already told me that it was not going to be puffy. So I returned it and purchased the chaps one from kohl's at the same price. That's one turned out to be more comfortable and padding was perfect.
