I've slept 2 nights in an absolute downpour of storms and stayed bone dry. I paired this with a lightweight foot inflate mattress and was just right. Was a bit tricky the first time setting up. That's why I did a practice setup in my yard before taking out for real. I figured out you need about 12 to 13ft between trees. The trees are better if they are smaller, say 8 to 16 inch diameter because it helps to double wrap the tree with the straps and if it is too fat of a tree "especially at the base" for the lower straps you lose the length you need to get back to your strap clamps that allow you to tighten the bottom making it lay flat - meaning your ends might not reach. I strap the top strap about 5ft off the ground. I did have a seam on the bug net that came loose or missed getting sewed good. Also, had one small tear near the zipper flap on the rain guard. Emailed tech support and they sent me a whole new unit quickly. Very happy with this hammock tent!

I've used this about 3 times now and it's kind of hard to get set app to where it doesn't feel like you're gonna fall out of it if you can double wrap the supporting straps around the tree base. It really helps also if the trees are wide that really helps with stability. It's very comfortable to land I use a climate V-2. Sleeping Pad inside so comfy. it's perfect size For me i'm 6'1 about a hundred and eighty five pounds. I got this because I didn't want a traditional style hammock. Because it seems kind of awkward to land and I see a lot of complaints of being shaped like a banana. But this seems to be perfect for me. It is a bit heavy for backpacking. But I do mostly car camping so it's not really a problem. The package size is very small. It's actually smaller than my sleeping bag. Packed up, there is only one con that I can think of and it's the rainfly. It's extremely flappy and it doesn't seem to like be very tight around the top of the hammock, but it seems well made. The bottom is very heavy duty. I did get caught in a few very heavy thunderstorms. And I did not have any issue with getting wet inside the only moisture that I had Inside seems to be from either the condensation from breathing or something. But the top gets very wet. But I was camping in really cool conditions around 40° at night. I didn't get to see how well the bug net works. Because there was no bugs because it was so cold. But definitely an awesome little tent hammock thingy I really enjoy it

Although the product seems like it is made out of durable materials it was longer than advertised which would work fine between two trees however, will not work with my hitch hammock rig. Also wish it was a touch wider when lying in it. With that being said I am still excited to find a camping spot where I can try out the hammock and see if the mosquito net and rain fly work as advertised. Not sad about my purchase just didn’t work out the way I would had liked.

Able to sleep on my side. Air mattress makes it comfortable. Made well, but I still put a tarp over it to give me additional shelter for cooking and dressing in bad weather.

I want to give this five stars, but there are a couple of small points that hold me back. The toggles that are supposed to hold the flap rolled up are in entirely the wrong location and can't hold the flap. They should be inboard about 6-10". Other reviews metion this also.Minor annoyance,,, when you lay in the hammock, the bug net sags hard in the middle. I ran a 1/4" bungee cord between the hoop and the carabiner to take up the sag when occupied. Maybe a nothing burger to most, but I found it annoying as heck.One thing NOT mentioned in the instructions (which are sorta vague anyways) is that the lower strap needs to be cinched tight, NO, MORE THAN THAT, I mean within an inch of its life tight, or the hammock will banana on you.Otherwise, LOVE this set up. Simple hacks make it more than its sum, and for kayakamping, this thing is the schizznizzle. Kinda heavy for backpackers, but car camping or kayakamping, BAM!

I bought this for my son's Colorado mountains backpacking trips. He is 6'5 and about 300lbs. After reading the reviews, I purchased heavy duty carabiners and a sleeping pad. I also had my son bring extra survival blankets to put in between the mosquito net and rain fly because I am worried about how waterproof it is after feeling the fabric. It's lightweight and sturdy.

Unstable. Set mine up according to instructions, but when inside, any movement to the sides and it tips a lot more to that side. I’ve tightened down the stabilizing straps as much as possible but it’s inherently an unstable design. I might try modifying it with some extra straps and heavy stakes, but they really do need to figure out a better design with lower center of gravity.

We bought these for hammock camping for our teens. Won’t be comfortable for anyone larger than 5’3” and 130lb. Set up is a little more complicated than necessary.
