EXCELLENT BOOK
I absolutely loved everything about this book, it was an interesting read, witty, down to earth, and made me want to read more of this authors books, and a member of my family loved it too. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading autobiographies with a touch of humour thrown in. Anyone who likes the sort of book that is light hearted, and wants to be able to relax and read, will enjoy this book. Would strongly recommend it to anyone who has been in the medical profession.

Enjoyable journey
The trials and tribulations of being a student nurse to becoming a matron.Loved all the colourful character's along the way.A truly unique and fabulous insight into a ever changing world brought about by the NHS ,and how this shy tee total girl blossomed into a caring compassionate matron. A wonderful read i will miss my next encounter

Matron in Charge.
Another great book by Evelyn.Once you start to read, it's a job to put this book down. There is humour and a serious side.Evelyn writes so well you immerse yourself in the lives of all she cared for.I have now read all her books and feel sad there is no more coming out.
