For emergency use, so can't speak to taste, but I've tried other Essentials products and they were much better than average. Have many other #10 cans from this brand and, as always, well packed, no dents, seals intact and I've never had an 'old' product from them. Cans are dated within the year so expire dates are reliable.Always pleased with this brand.

Freeze Dried Sliced Mushrooms.
Freeze Dried Sliced Mushrooms. Yup. That about says it. I use these for things like Stroganoff Meal in a Jar. Stir Fry Meal in a Jar. They are the mushroom of choice, plus they come in a handy-dandy #10 can that has 1001 uses when it's emptied.

i love mushrooms and for shelf stability these are great. sadly this big can doesn't last long with a family. we went thru them quickly. If you need long self life food this is a good item to have. the taste after being rehydrated is just like fresh mushrooms.
