I got this product to provide better support for a set of 4 chair casters that I repurposed for a custom-size furniture moving dolly. I cut a 2x4 into 4 lengths and glued/screwed them to form a rectangular frame, then inserted these sockets into holes that I drilled into the frame. Finally the casters were inserted into the sockets.The product is reasonable priced and works well, no complaints there. However the shipping is 133% the cost of the product, which seems a bit steep, especially since this product is very light and rather small. This product would be much more attractive and a better overall value if the shipping costs were lower.

I actually used this when making a custom toddler shopping cart for my daughter. I bought office chair casters and this was a perfect fit. Very easy to install, and does the job. It just took a bit of research to match up the right casters with the right inserts.

You're pretty much over a barrel when you're looking for sockets of this diameter, and the people who make and sell these things know it.
