Q: is the 16 ounce jar come sealed? Meaning does it have a sealed foil covering the mouth of the jar once the cap is opened?

No, and neither does the jar you can buy at CVS. I was concerned, so went out and bought an identical jar from the pharmacy. They’re the same product. There is only a little piece of clear tape holding on the cap. Mine from Amazon had arrived broken. Both jars are identical, smell the same, etc. Despite other reviews, I do think this product is real. But, poor packaging.

Q: Is this good for adults who have diaper rash

It’s great for anyone who has diarrhea. With so much wiping, one can become raw. Using Desitin, especially at the onset can prevent a lot of pain and discomfort. Put a little bit on toilet paper and apply to necessary areas. Works real well.

Q: What is the expiration date?

I’ve used Desitin for many years. It’s all I ever needed for my babies. I’m a great grandma now and my home has never been without it. I’ve kept mine until the tube or jar ran out, which I’m sure some has lasted me for years. They didn’t use to put expiration dates on products “back in my day”. My bil is a retired pharmacist, and he told me that medications last much longer than the expiration dates.

Works well but little expensive

Great for babies to avoid rashes. It is very easy to use with no side effects. My infant seems to love it. I only wish it was cheaper. Overall, a great product to have.
