Jury's still out on longevity, but working great so far
Almost 10 years ago, I purchased an EVGA Supernova G2 PSU. That one had a 10 year warranty, and almost 10 years later, it ran flawlessly with no issues. But as all components wear out, and a bad PSU can cripple a computer, it was time for a replacement. After reading a few reviews on several EVGA Supernova PSUs, this is the one I decided to get.My decision factors were 1. warranty and reviews - it's critical that a PSU works for the duration of its warranty. Past experience with a bad one led to a lot of trial and error and testing components. It was not fun, and definitely worth spending a bit more. 2. the Wattage. PSUs are optimally efficient in the middle 25 - 75% of their rated range. My system could've gotten by with a smaller drive, but this one was great for my use case.Lastly and most importantly, everyone should be aware that PSU modular cables are not necessarily compatible with each other, even from the same company. EVGA publishes a list of things that are compatible, but it appears outdated and a bit of a hassle to deduce. Therefore, it's critical that you always replace the existing cables when updating. The reason for this is that the PINs from the PSUs themselves may be different from machine to machine, with the cables mapping the PINs to the correct ones on the motherboard. Using the wrong cables can destroy your components. Worth it to save yourself the potential headache by just re-wiring your case.

This was an upgrade as I moved to AM5 from AM4. Simple to install and very quiet.

The 1000 GT is Awesome!
I put it through the rigors to ensure the problems I had with the 600 W power supply I replaced (another brand) wouldn't happen with the new EVGA 1000 GT. The old PSU was fine. I just underestimated the amount of power I needed for my rig. And after duplicating the issues it passed with flying colors. To start, my GPU is rated for 400W. I thought I gave it enough cushion with the 600W PSU, even when I of course included the peripheral parts and devices in the equation. It's very quiet as well. Not dead silent, but quiet enough for my liking. I have my PC running nonstop for the 2 days since receiving it. I also wanted to make sure it was working because it was delivered tossed over our porch gate when the delivery person could've simply opened the gate and placed it on the floor. I think what saved it was the fact that the EVGA packaging has the Power supply unit reinforced with a durable Styrofoam around it inside the box. If you're delivering a package that has a fair amount of weight to it, be wary that it could be something that can break. The thing is, I had every intention of being at the door when it arrived but he got to the house earlier than I expected. All I heard was a thump from inside the house. My first reaction was, "Oh no!" Because I knew it had to be the Amazon delivery. Anyway, I recommend you try and catch the driver before they get to your porch or just have it sent to a pick-up locker to avoid potential tossing of the package. I do recommend this power supply. I will monitor its performance over the course of the month if anything bad happens I'll update this review. If no update, then you can assume all is well.

this acutally WORKED!!!
15 years a got i bought my son a custom gaming PC. It had a lot of what looked like Proprietary stuff on it. When we tried upgrading the Graphics card. it was hard but we got around it. We upgraded the Ram. and added NVME cards and SSD's to improve it. When we needed to upgrade the graphics card again, I knew I needed to upgrade the power supply also. This presented a challenge. I saw this Power supply and felt it might work. The first 4070 Super we ordered came to our house but it was the wrong product. they sent a 4060 and had to return it. once we got the 4070 Super I opened it and saw the issue. It needed 2 connections like i suspected. and the power supply on board only had one. I pulled it apart took out the old one and then opened the new one. It was a Perfect Fit in to the box!!! it powered up the system Faster than the old power supply which took my son off guard. He expected to see a minor delay. but it was instant. so Far im pretty sure this 15 year old PC has finally been maxed out. when we bought it. It had a 650 power supply 8 gigs ram, a 2 gig graphics card. and a 256 Gig hard drive. now its just as great as the top PC's out there now. :) Alas i think in 10 years i might have to buy a new one. We will see. but the Power supply here is a Beast and worth every penny. just make sure it will fit. and the mother board can handle the connections.

Another great product from EVGA. -5 stars to Amazon for sending me a used power supply
Miss their graphics cards but still love their power supplies. Never an issue with any of their peripherals I've purchased over the years.-5 stars to Amazon who sent me a used power supply missing the main motherboard cable and power cable. This is happening more and more. If I want used, I'll look at 'warehouse deals'. I don't pay new prices for a used product. Just spent $1500 at Microcenter because of this.
