Great product!
I needed just a small extra extension but all the gate extensions were too big for my awkward size doorway. The wall nanny was literally the only product out there that could give me just enough extension and great stability to keep my pups from knocking the gate over! Thank you for this product!!

Easy to use
My gate didn’t have an option to buy an extension so I bought this universal one and it works great

Works well
All though Product did not come with mounting screws for the wall it still works for what I need it for my dog gate was to narrow for my hallway now it's fits because of the extentions on each side

Extenders worked for my wide hallway
Bought a gate to keep pet in a certain area but walls were too far apart. These extenders worked perfectly and also give it more stability.

Sturdy
I do not have them screwed into the walls, they are just held by the pressure of the gate and it’s super sturdy. Durable and reliabl. Perfect fit.

Super helpful!
Worked for our needs when our baby gate didnt quite extend to either side of the staircase. Tension extenders can be stressful to assemble, but worth it!

Great idea but details are missing in description.
Great idea but details are missing in the description. It is very confusing to understand how much room it may extend your gate by, as I ultimately ordered 2 different sets one after trying the other. This first set which says it adds the 2.5 inches but it does not tell you how deep the circle is, which ultimately made it impossible to screw the tension pieces of the gate into, as there was not enough room with the top pieces to even get your fingers around the tensions screw pieces, that is how tight it was. These did not work for my 45 inch gate even after removing a gate extension piece. I tried all the alternatives with the baby gate I was trying to use to fit 45 inch doorway, with 43 inches at the bottom where baseboards were. I tried with anther gate as well. I ultimately ordered the 4 shorter, bottom pieces, (after reading questions and answers for the info). I still needed to add 5/8 of inch thick pvc molding to each side of the top of the gate. Thank goodness I planned the installation with screws or without, but I would have preferred without, as this is a brand new remodeled down to the studs kitchen doorway. I wanted to be able to take the gate down and only keep it installed when my granddaughter was here as this is the main very used doorway for groceries, laundry, etc. Ultimately my neighbor helped me as there is no way only 1 person can install a baby gate alone safely. I suggested we add 5/8" thick PVC molding cut to the exact same size as the wall nanny and screwed right through both pieces to get the appropriate amount of room extension to screw in the tension rods at the top. We also added stick on felt pieces (made for bottoms of furniture pieces) to the 5/8" pvc pc to make sure it would hold up to the wall without damaging the wall and without it moving the gate at all. We screwed through all the pieces into studs for the strength. We needed no additional pieces but the Wall Nanny short pieces at the baseboard bottom install. It would be extremely helpful in your dimension drawings to show the depth of the circle in the wWall Nannys and explain the extension amount added to each side of the gate vs the full amount added. Having to read the Q & A for answers. I was unable to find the depth of the circle anywhere which ultimately figures into the amount you suggest you are adding to each gate side. It all worked out in the end but I had purchased 4 gate options, only trying 2, and 2 Nanny Wall options after buying the gates and trying to install without them. I bought one Wall Nanny kit after the trying this one to get the best strongest fit. As I said, I still added my own pieces to ultimately install this gate even with the shoter Nannys. I think I would need to do that with any gate, due to the improper dimensions misleading consumers in all the descriptions, for the baby gates and the Wall Nannys. It was a very long frustrating process for a do it yourself home remodeler for 25 years! Thank goodness I gave myself almost 2 weeks before her birthday party to get the gate installed safely. Give yourself a lot of lead time and order options, if you don't have a standard door size. You can always return the additional parts that did not make the gate fit. Wall Nannys are a great idea but needs better descriptions. I even watched your videos, which were helpful but ultimately for my size doorway (45" top, 43 " bottom) the depth of that circle was the critical measurement missing. I ultimately wrote this t bassist others with my same issue. I know it is safe for my grandaughter, as this gate with this installation, is strong and works without any movement and the self closing door works as well. I am not the Regulatory Agency to give my installation method an approval though. Good luck! I hope this helps some of you save time and aggravation!

Just what I need to extend my baby gate
I recently moved and my baby gate was a little bit shorter than I needed it to be. I ordered these, and they extended the length enough that I was able to use my already owned baby gate. These are also great because they help to protect the wall as they have a wider contact area and rubber.
