Mini Dinosaur Excavation Kit

This item is small(see attached photo) but the 5 year old we bought it for won't know the difference. It's a fun activity for a kiddo who's interested in dinosaurs. I put together a dinosaur-themed gift bag(dino pajamas, a dino movie the book Digger Dog, and this excavation kit). I'm glad I bought other items to go along with this because I don't feel as though it can stand alone as a gift.Also, the type of dinosaur they "dig up" is indicated on the box. That could be a good thing...or a bad thing if you're little paleontologist was hoping for a surprise.

Cute little present for my sons. I was not aware of how small it was going to be (the box is like one inch by two inches by three inches) but the product description does say "mini." My three year old had a hard time with digging but my nine year old had it done in a matter of minutes. Overall, it was as expected.

My daughter ended up loving these, though I bout them for my younger son. Definitely minis and small figurines, but a cool idea.

Disappointed in this one. Came in a hand size box with instructions but turned out not to be much Save your money.
