Originally 1 star (that review is below)- The company gave me a refund plus another set of stakes. I used those on my last trip.. Tthey didn't bend or chip like my last set. The stakes were perfect. I am moving from 1 star to 5 stars for not only a decent tent stake, but superior customer service.Take this for what it is worth- I used these stakes last night in the desert, where it is very hard to pound a stake into the ground. To carry less weight, I use a nearby rock rather than carrying something to pound a stake in. I used 6 stakes last night. The first one bent at the neck. The second one chipped. After that, I was weary, and since I have a free standing tent, gently pounded the remaining 4, which all fell out over the night's wind. I am hugely disappointed, and pissed that I have to again, research good tent stakes to buy. Anyone, please message me a recommendation.

Just right.
The stakes are very light for a Y design stake. They holding power is excellent compared to a shepard hook stake. I haven't pounded them into super hard soil to see how they hold up under heavy use, so I'll have to update my experience later. I've seen the Coghlan Y stakes bend and snap under hard use, so I don't use those anymore. These claim 7000 series aluminum (should be much stronger than the 6000 series Coghlan Y stakes).Only minor gripe I have is the orange cord included is not really reflective. I couldn't detect any reflection. I compared it to some other reflective cord I have and my other cord lit up brightly at night, but not these. The orange is highly visible, just not reflective for me. I don't plan on swapping out the cord. For the price I'm very pleased with the product.

I staked out my stays and tarp for my hammock in a pretty rocky soil and didn't bend a single stake
These stakes are about half the price of the name brand stakes which are red. The claimed weight is within a hundredth of an ounce of each other. I used them on a recent shakedown hike as I moved to a hammock system from tenting. It was one of the roughest nights I've had outdoors in a long time. I knew it would be challenging, given the high wind warning, for gusts to 60 mph. I staked out my stays and tarp for my hammock in a pretty rocky soil and didn't bend a single stake. There were several times that I had to re-position as I did run into rocks while placing the stakes. My only complaint is that the bag is garbage that it comes with. You're probably better off throwing them into a zipper style plastic bag with your mixed guylines.

.....Tent...Stakes....that Stake tents....
What I ordered, arrived timely, good price, seem sturdy. My first time handling ultralight stakes, they seemed a little thin, but they don't flex under any pressure that I've applied. The soil here is sandy, so can't attest to how they'll handle clay or rocks yet, a couple of times in and out of sand hasn't scraped off the coating. Nice carry-bag, with extra room for cordage. The ones that came were black with orange reflective cordage loop.

Light and Sturdy
Light and sturdy these worked well on my recent camping trip to Sedona, AZ. The pund in easily and handle some tough rocks. I was trying to find a spot in between a bunch of rocks and kept hitting them and the stakes stayed perfectly in tact. I am purchasing a second pair.

Light. Did I say light? I tbought I was missing some stakes the package was so light! Have not tested them yet so wait and see if they bend. Exactly as advertised.

Good stakes
Bought these to replace the ones that came with my Noah's Kelty tarp 9, they feel better than the ones that came with my tarp.
