I loved the star pattern on the inside
I recently took this umbrella to Mexico with me. I used it in Tulum, Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, and Coba. I never got sun burned when using this umbrella. It was a life-saver when there was no shade available. The construction is well-made and nothing broke on me with probably 50+ opens. I loved the star pattern on the inside! I would definitely buy again!

Top your head with BATTOP umbrella.
UPDATE Feb. 24 2017UPDATE Feb 24 2017 The THIRD Battop umbrella I purchased last July 5 2016 for $16.00, now has a broken support. The BATTOP umbrella with blue colored exterior, and "Meteor shower" interior print functions as it is intended. As far as keeping UV rays out, it seems adequate, as compared to a regular umbrella with a different fabric, for that purpose. It could be slightly cooler underneath the BATTOP while in the sun, versus a standard fabric umbrella. It is attractive. The one "click" release to open, and, again to initiate folding the umbrella, works fine, thus far.The ONLY problem I found is, the pole portion of the umbrella where it inserts into the handle was wobbly, to a minor degree. It should be firm. The item was purchased in November 2014In March 2015, one of the aluminum braces broke, although the umbrella still worked. However, when opened, part of the canopy was partially collapsed, where the broken brace is.I made a claim, and Emily graciously refunded the purchase price. This is a great company who stands behind, (or, under, in this case) their products.I would suggest getting it, in the $20-25 price range, thru Amazon.***UPDATE: Feb 24 2017***The THIRD Battop umbrella I purchased on July 5 2016 for $15.99, now has a broken support rib, leaving part of the canopy collapsed. This defect is the 3rd time I have had this problem. It is the identical defect that occurred in the TWO previous Battop umbrellas I had.I would like for the supplier to send me a replacement unit at no charge, IF they still are in business.I can be reached at cibern8or@gmail.com if need be. Thank You.

Worth the money
I was surprised at the quality of the materials in this umbrella. The handle is rubberized and comfortable, and the automatic opening works smoothly and quickly. The "fabric" of the outer layer is thicker than I'd expected but folds easily. It does a great job of blocking the light and providing relief from the heat.Since it seems the usual measurement for umbrellas is the diameter taken by measuring the length of the entire curve, I was worried that the description was wrong in saying radius rather than diameter was 62 cm. It seems to be correct, though. As a more helpful measurement, the diameter from one flat side to the other flat side (across the bottom where the umbrella is widest) is over 36 inches.

Really helps to take the edge off the heat
I've used the umbrella a few times now to provide some mobile shade while walking long distances in 80-95 degree temperatures, and it's really been a nice thing to have.First things first; the structure. It feels about as sturdy as your average umbrella. It should stay together for you, but in strong winds you might have a problem. I've taken it out in up to about 10mph winds and been alright, though trying to keep it facing the sun with the wind blowing straight into it is a nuisance. It's manageable if you have both hands available, but if you're wielding the thing with one hand or you have particularly strong wind where you live, you might have some problems. So how well does it work? The umbrella will definitely take the edge off the heat, but don't expect miracles. It's not exactly like normal shade, because normal shade has the chance to cool down in it's stationary position. You'll still have the heat of the air and the heat reflected off the ground; the umbrella just deflects most of the heat coming down from the sun, and it does that pretty well because of the reflective surface. (Just be careful if there are other people nearby you, as it'll bounce right off the umbrella and onto them, and they probably won't appreciate it.) The starry design is a nice touch, and it gives you something to look at apart from the bright street.Pros:-Keeps the sun and a lot of heat off of you-Starry design looks nice-Decently sturdyCons:-Might not hold up to strong wind-It can only do so muchOverall, it'll do better for you to keep the heat off than a regular umbrella, if that's the route you want to go to help beat the heat.

Not Thrilled
I'm not as happy with this as I had hoped to be. The "meteor shower" on the inside is crudely drawn and applied. Not nearly as pretty as it seemed in the photo. Also, it's difficult to open an shut, requiring a lot of pulling and effort and the strap holding it closed is too short once it has been opened so it can't be used to keep it folded up neatly. It's also heavier than the umbrellas I am used to carrying. It does do a good job of providing shade and cover from the rain.

but it's not huge like a golf umbrella
Umbrella is just the right size for me. It covers me completely from the sun, but it's not huge like a golf umbrella. And it is much cooler than a regular umbrella. I'm so glad that I bought this umbrella.
