Good product but pricy for less quantity

When I bought this it was not eligible for prime, and I was pressed for time unfortunately, so I payed for faster shipping, it still did not arrive as quickly as I expected but the product was great, I couldn’t find this width metal boning anywhere in town - so just the fact that it was available to me was awesome. It did exactly what I needed it to do. My only real complaint about the product itself is it should’ve come with more tips! 10 yards of boning with 24 pins - meaning you can only neatly finish 12 pieces of boning when you have so much more wire to use ?Wire was easy to cut so long as you know what you’re doing (plier in each hand, twist apart and then cut and clean the excess). Tips as well- so long as you use two pliers (one to flatten and hold the tip in place and the other to secure the legs). If this is your first time doing it keep in mind that the tips will roughly add a 1/4 inch so cut accordingly.

I ordered spiral metal boning and received black, low-density polyester boning (worth substantially less than what I paid). I'd love to return it for a refund, but I have a deadline and can't afford the time. I hope it will be rigid enough for my purposes.

Ok so I don't write reviews....ever. This boning is great, but beware, the 24 tips that come with it are a joke! I'm pretty sure they are the wrong size because you have to pry them open to get the end of the boning in them and then you can't squeeze them too tight because they pop off! And then they are not on tight enough and they still come off! This is not user error FYI. (I am a very experienced sewer, I am using these for a wedding dress I'm making for a friend) So if you need good boning go for it, but buy the tips separately!

Good price, fast shipping and it feels like great quality. I just put it into two corsets, I hope it holds up well as my old source, cause if I can save a few bucks I won't complain! If this still says great quality 3 months after this is posted then I have no complaints....but I'm that customer, if my boning snaps you'll have an edited comment haha, happy sewing everybody!

I'm putting the finishing touches on a handmade corset (my first), and I used this boning for a professional look. I haven't worn the corset yet, as it is not yet complete, however I can truly say that this product was the right size (1/4"), and it was easy to cut with wire cutters. I will order more once they restock.
