It has just enough weight to do the job. The base is black plastic, the bail is available in colors. The top of the base tips in a little to hold the top of your bottle. The screw for adjusting is knurled on the outside so you can adjust it without tools, or it has an allan head recess in it if your fingers aren't strong enough. .Here's the best part. They were out of black I'd ordered so Soonhua sent me an email asking if another color was OK. I changed it to silver and after a while an envelope arrived from Shanghai. It took a while, maybe 10 days. But I think that's pretty good service for a $12 sale! (I bought 2 of them)It's a better bottle holder than I've seen and they're priced cheaper than the cheapest bottle holder at Walmart. It holds the smaller bottles of bottled water or a single can of pop. Or I can crank it open for a bigger bottle. Easy in & out while riding.

Received exactly what I expected. Mounted up as you would expect, and fits any water bottle I could imagine. I use a normal sized standard bottle and it secures in very nicely. I have ridden about 600 miles and it has yet to fail. Holds the bottle nice and tight, and seems to be holding up perfectly. It can also expand out to hold an extremely large bottle - much larger than any I would use. I chose this water bottle cage due to it's slightly different design where it mounts to the frame. It works very well for me.The water bottle cage is made in China and it ships directly from China so it took a little while to get here.Even though I can adjust the size of the water bottle holder, I haven't found it necessary to expand or contract where it was set from the factory.Good product at a good price.

Fairly "chincy" if I do say so myself. Have had this installed for a few weeks, but feel like it could fall off at any time. It does hold a large water bottle, and has never failed to do that. I was just expecting to be pleasantly surprised on the quality instead of it meeting my expectations for the price.

Been using this for my bike since the summer and it's holding up well. I like how simple this cage as it isn't too bulky or anything like that. It's pretty convenient that you can adjust the size of cage for different sized bottles. I'm pretty happy with this product.

With plastic Poland waterbottles.. you have to tighten it all the way down and there is a small chance it will fall off

Mostly it is made of plastic material. Not sure at this point how long it will last...
