One cannot make soap without lye! The sodium hydroxide from Essential Depot is the best on the market. I usually buy it directly from Essential Depot but when I noticed it on Amazon, I wanted to go for the extra Amazon Points. There was a tiny glitch during shipping but I contacted Essential Depot and it was taken care of immediately. You're not going to get better service or a better product anywhere.

Best ever, pores easy, dissolve easy. I make homemade soap never had a batch not come out perfect. Love the small balls, it makes it so nice to pore to get a correct measurement. It did not stick together at all. Will only buy this this brand.

This definitely does the job for making soap at home!! Please wear gloves and eye wear protection! I didn't wear gloves one time and burned my hands.. be very careful how you use this keep away from children and the unexpierenced people!
