To whom it may concern:The positive reviews from Amazon.com were only part of the reason to purchasethis generator. The fullment center Generator Plus in Ohio offered some interesting facts about the generator's origin. Champion Equipment purchased some of the Honda manufacturing facilities in China. Honda's methodology and quality control was implemented to produce these generators. Honda generators with similar output are 2-1/2 times as expensive. The quality is not equal to Honda but the Champion unit from my recent experience is reliable. Sears is selling the same unit with an 18 month no interest payment plan with Free shipping for $699.00 in new condition. A bit pricey! Do your homework if your purchase is notan emergency.The unit arrived in excellent condition packaged in a heavy duty card baord box via Fedex Unit was shipped with out oil but upon filling with fresh oil the crankcase was not completely empty. Check before you carefully fill the required amount of .63 quarts. In our situation we overfilled the engine and the excess overflowed. 10W30 is the recommended oil viscosity. I used Mobil 1. Any Good quality oil is sufficient. Our unit arrived 3 hours after our power was restored. Will post at a later date with more hours on the generator.Yes, I would recommend this product to purchase for a few common appliances such as a sump pump. refrigerator etc. The ideal set up is a residential backup but you are looking at major dollars depending on the KW required for your home.

Wife loves it, she don't have to go outside to start it, just push a button in the RV kitchen, that will start it. Put the oil in it, a little gas just to make sure everything would be ok, touched the start button on the generator and away it went, amazing, didn't have to turn over several time for it to start. Ran quite, you could stand next to it and have a conversation with people without not hearing what they were saying. I'm going to sell my other two generators, don't need them anymore. I use this generator to power my camping trailer. Had two 2000w hand portables run in parallel to operate A/C and Microwave. This was kind of a pain. This generator is a little heavy for me to lift into my SUV so I have a small winch to get it up there but easy enough to take out. It starts right up when I press the remote from inside the trailer and shuts down just as easily. The A/C momentarily drags it down a bit but everything runs like I was plugged into a 30Amp power supply. I bought a dog house pop up tent and cut a hole in the bottom. It slips over the generator and can then be left out in the weather with no ill effects.

I should have bought this generator years ago. Here in North Texas we usually have several power outages every Winter, but after buying the generator in preparation for this year, no outages of any consequences. We received the generator in good shape, did the small amount of make ready, and fired it up. We ran it with a small radiant heater to load it a bit, and repeated this for 30-40 minutes each time until we got the break in period done. Then we changed the oil, and every 4-5 weeks we start to keep exercised and the battery charged. Have had since October (or November) and so far are well pleased with the generator.

Used it for a while now and love it. The remote control is awesome. Have used it a few times from my bed, just pointed outside from my bedroom and started and turned it off. Happy camper here. The generator is a bit heavy, but it is providing tons of power for my 30' trailer. Microwave works great with it running. AC also works and furnace bearly uses power from the generator. It charges my batteries very quickly. Will recommend anyone this brand and the seller.

This generator works perfectly for exactly what we needed it for. We have a 19ft toy hauler and we can run everything we need in it all at the same time, including the AC. Love that it has the remote control start, which is what made us pick this model. We purchased it through Amazon and the shipping was fast and easy to purchase.

I have had this for about four years. I haven't had to use it, but I start it twice a year to check it and it is still working fine. I did have to get a new battery this year but I was not surprised as I took no special precautions to extend its life. I.e. if I had used a battery maintainer on it, or brought the battery inside during the extreme temperatures of summer or winter, it would probably would still be fine.

Wonderful (so far) generator that will (I hope) never be needed for long outages. But in those events, this seems like the best choice for me. It can handle easily what I feel are the most needed appliances, and it does it with a very low level of noise. The electric start is a definite plus, and it even has a remote starter fob. This may well be my smartest purchase of the year. Didn't hurt a bit that it was delivered in record time.
