Soleus Women's SR009 Chicked Digital Display Quartz Watch

I like this watch for several reasons: 1) unusual style makes it look unique and I am always looking for products that are a bit different. 2) the time display is large and clear for me to read at a glance, although I wish the date portion was a fraction larger too, but overall I am pleased with it. 3) instructions are easy to follow to set the different modes of the watch. 4) the material in which it is made is comfortable, but only time((no pun intended)) will tell if the strap will hold up and not break/tear. I HIGHLY recommend this product for individuals who are looking for an inexpensive, digital, yet stylish watch. Oh. I LOVE the color combination too!

So far, so good. I've read that people have issues with the battery life, but chose to take a chance. This looks so much better than the standard IM timex watches, and I was looking for an every day (except speed work mornings) running watch that I could wear during easy runs, to work, and everywhere else. The instruction booklet is thorough and Soleus provides a one year warranty. The backlight is worthless and that's why I have it 4/5 instead of 5/5.Update: The watch is dead. - March 23, 2015. Completely dead.

I LOVE this watch. It is seeming harder and harder to find a quality watch that doesn't track calories and activity. I bought this watch to replace the same watch that I had for several years but sadly lost while traveling. I feel excited to have it back on my wrist. I noticed though, that fresh out of the packaging, the light does not work. I don't expect this will cause too much grief for me, but I am debating returning it to have the light fixed, because, you know, I paid for a watch with a light.

Maybe the watch I got is low on battery or defective but the backlight doesn't light up, it actually made the numbers less visible when in low contrast settings. So when i'm in the dark I cannot see the time when wearing this watch. Also when I push the buttons or have an alarm or timer go off the alarm and button chimes or not very loud. There is a slight tick or little beep but it's not loud enough for me to hear if I'm running or working out with general noises around me. Would be in love with this watch if the backlight worked and the beeping was louder.Love love love the interval timer and the double time zone abilities (i will be traveling overseas). Also, style wise i like the color and design.

This is the fault of the seller more than the product. I received the watch with a dead battery and the lighter color looks faded near the edge. It does have the plastic protector on the screen, but still appears used. I'll replace the battery and use it regardless because I had it sent by a friend to Costa Rica where I live and returning it would be more expensive than it's worth. But in general I'm disappointed.

I've probably owned 12+ of these over the same number of years. I wear them til I kill them. I'm a personal trainer so they get beat up. Easy, functional. Even stylish!

Extremely disappointed with this purchase. I wore it daily for running and after a few months the rubber on the sides started to bend. Not a huge deal but 9 months after purchase the watch went completely dead. Upon asking about the one year warranty I learned I would have had to pay for a second company to look at the watch and maybe fix it but any battery issues would not be covered. Correct me if I am wrong but a watch battery should last longer than 9 months.

Review #2--I'm keeping my original negative review below in case anyone had a similar experience -- however, I had the nicest rep from this company contact me a bit ago. He walked me through the process for what I wanted to accomplish and I am now set up how I need to be for intervals. This was all very different than the instructions so I definitely had to rely on his help. Instructions were not clear on the setting multiple intervals. I am now hopeful I can say this is the best investment ever. But the company is to be commended for their proactive customer service!!!!!Review #1The instructions are horrible for setting the timer. It is the worst investment I have ever made. If it would work I would love it. How can something be so difficult to work with. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WATCH UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE FRUSTRATED. I have given the watch and instructions to seven people none of whom have been able to set up four different timer increments for me.
