Great teaching tool!
This is a great teaching tool for kids. My little ones were familiar with the days and months but this helps to solidify it in their minds. They know the spelling of each day and month and now I mix up the days and months and have them place it in the right sequence and they enjoy it! I also supplement it with a real calendar so that they look up the date and then it's fun for them to point it out on the calendar. I think this is one of the best tools to teach kids days, months, seasons and weather that is quite tangible and interactive instead of just repetitive songs - though I also incorporate days of the week and months of the year songs as we do this each day.My only recommendation would be to make the magnets a bit sturdier and bigger as it can be easily smashed if the calendar falls down . But this is a fabulous for young ones to use and great for teachers to incorporate in their classrooms.

LOVE!
I bought this calendar for my two year old daughter's room. I wanted to teach her about the passage of time, days of the week, months of the year, seasons, and weather. This calendar does all of that and looks beautiful at the same time. She looks forward to having me change whatever needs updating on the calendar each morning. It has become a nice part of our morning routine. I do update it myself and I did hang it out of her reach on the wall because magnets are a dangerous ingestion hazard, especially with children under three. Other reviewers have mentioned the thoughtful attention to detail with regard to the color coded months to match the seasons and the almost Roy G. Biv (I say "almost" because the indigo color is actually pink) colors of the days of the week, but it bears repeating because it is such a great feature if this calendar. I think we will get many years of good use with this calendar and I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

Great Tool!
This has been a great addition to our daughters Pre-K homeschooling! She really likes it! It's a price we could afford! It will work great until our daughter is in kindergarten at home and gets a big calendar! It's pretty durable but if you have destructive children it may not hold up if they like to chew or tear things.

Magnetic Learning Calendar
This is a great for homeschoolers or young children. I love how it includes the seasons, months, days of the week, and the weather. I thought the color matching with the months and seasons was a great idea! My child is 3 and she loves using the calendar. I would highly recommend this calendar!

Great Calendar!
Perfect for my 3yo girl. I had a magnetic calendar when i was a boy and it was very helpful in helping me understand the cyclical flow of time, the seasons, holidays, etc. We've only had the calendar for a month and she is already (albeit still mostly incorrectly) using phrases like "last week" and "next month" instead of her ever favorite "yesterday". And she loves the daily routine of changing the calendar. I am very pleased with it and look forward to my girl's continued fascination.

Decent magnetic calendar
We got this calendar for our 2-year-old for Christmas.Pros:The pieces are colorful and the typeface is very readable. There's a place to put all the pieces that aren't in use.In addition to date, day of the week, month, and season, there's a weather category, which is nice for a pre-verbal kid -- my daughter can look out the window and decide which weather magnet to place. The pieces are big enough to be handled easily.Cons:The backing board has warped so it has a noticeable curve to it. It doesn't affect the magnets, but it does annoy me.The magnets are quite weak -- this might actually be a "pro" because it's easier for a kid to move the magnets, but it also means they tend to slide around at the slightest touch. The icons for "winter" and "summer" are similar to those for "snow" and "sunny," which is confusing to my daughter. The magnets are made of foam with a flexible magnetic backing, so they can be bent if you're not careful with them. All in all, my daughter and I like this calendar, and I think it will be great for helping her learn calendar skills. I just wish some of the little things were better.

Cute but Flimsy
This is a cute calendar but it is pretty flimsy for what I paid. There are several small pieces and the magnetic pieces have started to peel. The board itself is also flimsy and the magnets do not hold well. Overall three stars for the appeal, but not very functional.
