Useful Quality Tool
This is the 2nd Kitchen Chef Sharpening Tool I purchased; my first one still works, but shows some wear after 2 years of daily use, and I wanted a fresh one. I'll be donating the old one. I leave this out, stuck to the counter near my knife block, and use it almost every time I pull a knife for slicing. Try slicing a tomato, then run it through this tool a few times and slice again. You will notice it makes a big difference.I don't have fancy expensive knives, I'm just a home cook who enjoys cooking, baking and canning using ordinary recipes. If you are a professional with expensive knives, you probably have a sharpening stone and know how to use it. For the rest of us, I would highly recommend. The old one is on the right in the first photo, with the suction off and in the 3rd photo.

Wow, Buy This One!
I am in love. I just sharpened my favorite knife, which seems really high quality, (Just bought that a few weeks ago), it was already sharp but the factory didn't quite finish the final sharpening. Well, it's finished now and it took maybe a minute. I love the suction plate and if I needed another sharpener, I would definitely buy another here.

It is very different than other sharpeners I've used. A bit harsh for me.
Go very easy & READ instructions! I just wanted to sharpen my knives not destroy them. I still use an Old Hickory set from my1965 first marriage. Using the #1 slot, I put kniks onto a butcher knife. Instructs plainly state to not start with the #1 sharpener. They just didn't shout that strongly enough for me. ;) I can smooth this out with my old ceramic sharpener. Nothing wrong with this gadget, if you pay attention & use it correctly.

Did our scissors RIGHT - Thank You!
We have a whetstone, but it just wasn’t doing it for our scissors. After reading the reviews here we decided to give it a try and we are IMPRESSED.Definitely beat the old whetstone. HINT: Be sure to sharpen the angled and not the flat side of each scissor blade.AAA Sharpener

Works fine but will damage knives in the long run.
I bought these to use on my cheap knives, it's a great little sharpener. Just be aware the way it sharpens your knife will damage them and make it harder to fix them with proper sharpening. Only use this kind of sharpener on knives you view as disposable in the long run. Aside from that PSA it's cheap, easy to use, small, light, and fast. Though the suction cup doent work super well...

Good Knife Sharpener - Very compact for Kitchen Drawer
Nice and compact, takes up very little room in the kitchen drawer. Love the suction cup (no chance of an accidental cut as you don't have to hold the base!). Good sharpener!

Would definitely recommend
The suction cup works great. The size is perfect for kitchen. The option for straight blade sharpening works great. The serrated sharpener is not the best but worth the money. Great gift idea!
