Wow. Be ready for the smell of spoiled meat when you open the package. Not the pretty green balls as shown. I cleaned them to get rid of the smell and put them in the tank. 48 hours later my Betta is dead.

These stink horribly. I took them out and rinsed them and soaked them and rinsed again but the smell is still there. Like dead fish. When I put them in the tank the water smelled within an hour and I had to clean it every other day because it smelled so bad and the water was gross. My daughters betta ignores them. I removed them and threw them away and now the tank stays clean again and the putrid smell is gone. The betta also seems much happier. Waste of money.

Holly smell - this is not at all what it seems to be nor would I put this in my fishes tank.I can’t get over the smell ... it was something serious I wouldn’t waste your money because I sure did.

I ordered these and got them the other day. They arrived in a plastic pouch. When I opened them I did it out side. Reading the comments left by people I am glad I did. They smelled horrible. But the balls where green and alive looking. They were as described. I followed the directions by cleaning them and squeezing them. I put one in my small betta tank and the rest in a cup till my big tank shows up. The one I put with my betta has swelled in the small amount of time it's been in the tank. Still looks healthy. The ones in the cup are still tiny as they were when I opened the package but still bright green. I have not noticed any thing negative yet. I will update if I do. At this point I am pleased with the balls and plan on buying a few larger ones in time.

I am very disappointed with this product. The color is no where close to what you see on the image. It was BROWN. Didn’t see any packed date or any date whatsoever on the package to tell you when the item was placed in the pouch. Don’t waste your money on this item. Look elsewhere.

Wonderful little balls! BUT, I'd advise you to open the packet OUTSIDE or the sulfur smell will about knock you down & will permeate at least 2 rooms of your house. Great value & top quality along with quick shipping. But, until you get them rinsed off really good, hang on to your nose. LOL

I really like these. I was happy to see I got 5 in one bag. They are stinky when you first get them but they’re for fish and a fish tank item so did not mind. They are small but I’ve had them for almost 2 months now and they are growing. My beta doesn’t play with them but was curious of them when I first put them in. My kuhli loach swims into them and they move around easily.
