My only issue is that it does not explain that there is a clear plastic cap on the optical cord end that unless you have used these cords before you not know you have to remove it.It is not obvious. Only after not being able to plug it in, I googled the cord and it instructed me that the clear tiny cap on the ends needs to be removed. Thank goodness for Google!!After seeing that everything went to together and I have audio from my external speakers through my receiver.

I am using this on the back of my LG smart TV to enable the TV to broadcast to wireless headphones so I can listen to the TV when the room is noisy or when I don't want to disturb whatever else is going on in the room. My only complaint is that there is a very slight delay in the headphone audio vs when people are speaking. The 2 are not quite in sync and can get annoying if I am watching something that has a lot of dialog where the camera is pointed at the persons face while they are speaking. If the camera is not pointed at the person that is speaking, or if the camera is pointed at anything other than the person, then no problem. The delay isn't big enough to cause a problem under that situation. I am guessing that any of these optical to wireless converters will have the same problem, so getting a different brand probably won't make a difference. I am keeping it and using it. The small delay isn't enough to make me return it, since otherwise it works as intended, and I just focus on some other part of the scene when the camera is pointed directly at the person that is speaking.

I used this to connect an old 2.1 (RCA only) receiver to a Samsung 700 series smart TV. I used the optical out from the TV, and then RCA to the receiver. It allowed me to get sound from the built in TV apps. Easy to install and works great!

Fairly easy to install. Beware the little plastic cap on the end of the optical connection. I missed it at first and thought that it was not going to fit the optical port.

great small formfactor, cable included. changed one setting on TV audio output and we have fantastic stereo from our new TV into our old but awesome audio system.

Had a bit of a time making old school wooden floor speaker work. Then bingo!3.5mm to male RC adapter. My old stereo has aux in and aux out!Now with this adapter I can use by wooden 1970' s speakers for myv2020 tv! Yeah I'm a happy man!!!

Seems to work fine so far.
