I've been looking forward to wearing one of these for years. Seeing Japanese men wear these in movies, dramas, anime, etc - they always looked comfortable at home, yet ready to travel if need be. I can now say that my assumptions are definitely true (at least with the quality from this seller), wearing one is rather comfortable, firm enough for travel, and perfect for the upcoming summer weather (it's so airy!).It is a little itchy at first, as with all things in this texture, but your skin quickly adjusts to it.Now the only question left for me is... how do I wash this? Time to do some research.

Wonderful quality! I ordered two of these, one blue one grey striped, and I can’t believe how fast they shipped! Their Jinbei is very comfortable, great for wearing around the house now that were in the summer months (or even perhaps out shopping or for a walk if you wanted :). I’ve ordered other Jinbei from other sellers (Chinese company) and the fabric felt more like straw and the sizes did not convert well for what I normally take (medium was too small). However the medium for this Jinbei fits perfectly for my slender self (150lb 5’11) as the shorts have a stretchy elastic band and the top is roomy enough. If your looking for good quality jinbei, you can’t go wrong with this!

I wish there would've been one size larger available so the the shorts were a little more comfortable for my husband. He's a big guy (6'3 with a little belly) and the biggest size available fit perfectly in the top; but is still a little tight in the shorts. It's a very high quality 甚平; and seems to be identical to the one I wanted from amazon JP that wouldn't ship to the US.

Good quality garment, made with a unique (for the U.S.) fabric. Very comfortable.

The material in this item is of high quality and the color is great! I ordered the largest size available, and although it fits OK, I wish there was one size larger. While the shoulders fit well, the waist is a little snug (will cause me to drop a few pounds); the short pants are fine, (although I won't be putting anything in the pockets) thanks to the elastic waist-band.

The jinbei is great! I am of short stature but have a 45" chest and 36 waist (yes I am old) but the large was a perfect fit. Good quality and inexpensive lounge wear. It is also looks very nice.

Being that I'm a bit tall relative to most other people with the same waist size, I often worry about garments, especially shirts/tops not being long enough but I ordered this true to my normal size and it fits perfectly. Very light and breathable but the fabric still feels sturdy. Received exactly what I was looking for and it shipped very quickly.
