Ezra Pound: Translations

Vanishing glory
How to review Pound’s Translations. I had a copy from about 1970 that totally crumbled. So I bought this to replace that old one that had been with me moor decades. This contains some of the oldest recorded poetics from Egypt and China. The Noh translations make sense of what might otherwise be culturally insensible. Cancel culture might want to erase Pound; as a person, his politics may suck. His life may have been tragedy. This work stands a test of time. Narihira, Narihira, your glory comes not again.

Recommendation
His translations match the rhythm of the origins which he has translated, and he mimics, in english, their literary figures (if the original language has a pun, he tries to make its equivalent in English;) It is seriously worth consideration for those interested in Pound or Literature in a more general sense (they, in themselves, are significant achievements.) Also: the review predicate to me should be deleted, because useless.
